Requesting a Jellyfish Mob

The recent Aquatic update is probably Minecraft's best yet, in my humble opinion. The new mobs, the added blocks, and best of all, the CLEAR WATER. I am very much looking forward to diving into everything this update has to offer.

So here is my request. In light of the droves of new water mobs that have popped up, I found myself feeling like it was all missing one tiny but nevertheless attractive mob idea - jellyfish! I mean, jellyfish ARE one of the most common sea creatures around, and if we have pufferfish, it stands to reason we could have the jellies.

The Minecraft team has brought us some supremely creative ideas for creatures roaming about our world, I mean we have dolphins that chase the player's boat and turtles that lay eggs in the sand. A jellyfish mob would be icing on the cake. Think about it - instead of just the squid, we now have a small, colorful, tentacled little guy with lots of potential for unique behavior. Maybe the player takes minor damage from its stingers when they bump into one. Maybe it has a glow-in-the-dark feature, or swims in clusters. Maybe the turtle mob naturally chases after them. It would be a beautiful edition to Minecraft aquariums and ocean worlds.

Why my enthusiasm for a possible jelly mob? Well, for the last 2 years I've been building a very, VERY large world as a gift for a special somebody of mine, who is an avid Minecraft fan. Her favorite animal is jellyfish. Her birthday is coming up in a couple months... and I thought that if some important Minecraft team member saw this message and graced it with a "yeah, let's do it!", it would be the ultimate gift for this ultimate gamer girl. If I could take her on a surprise tour of a jellyfish aquarium on her birthday, it would make her whole month. I would be eternally grateful if someone out there could lend a hand, lend a vote, and make this possible.

    With jelly fish it will be easier to make a flying machine.

    this would be an amazing idea and it would also be very pleasing to look at! and another mob that would most likely have a natural glow so when your in the ocean you won't have to use sea lanterns so often :)

    this a very different idea and i really do like it!

    Just an idea, Turtle's should be able to eat the jellyfish, as they do in real life.

    Please Mojang, it isn't that hard, it's just a squid with another texture and when it hurts you, you get poisoned

    I think they should give off a new status effect: Paralysis. it would have a 20% chance of occurring and it would make you completely unable to move for a certain amount of seconds. maybe how long the effect lasts will depend on the size of the jellyfish, like if it's small, 3 seconds, if it's medium, 5 seconds, and large, 7 seconds. I think this would go right along with this idea and another extension of this post!

    Also one thing you should make the biggest gigantic jellyfish ever. Everyone would just flip like with the mosasaurus. It was so big that it could literally. eat aMini shark.
