Requesting a Jellyfish Mob

The recent Aquatic update is probably Minecraft's best yet, in my humble opinion. The new mobs, the added blocks, and best of all, the CLEAR WATER. I am very much looking forward to diving into everything this update has to offer.

So here is my request. In light of the droves of new water mobs that have popped up, I found myself feeling like it was all missing one tiny but nevertheless attractive mob idea - jellyfish! I mean, jellyfish ARE one of the most common sea creatures around, and if we have pufferfish, it stands to reason we could have the jellies.

The Minecraft team has brought us some supremely creative ideas for creatures roaming about our world, I mean we have dolphins that chase the player's boat and turtles that lay eggs in the sand. A jellyfish mob would be icing on the cake. Think about it - instead of just the squid, we now have a small, colorful, tentacled little guy with lots of potential for unique behavior. Maybe the player takes minor damage from its stingers when they bump into one. Maybe it has a glow-in-the-dark feature, or swims in clusters. Maybe the turtle mob naturally chases after them. It would be a beautiful edition to Minecraft aquariums and ocean worlds.

Why my enthusiasm for a possible jelly mob? Well, for the last 2 years I've been building a very, VERY large world as a gift for a special somebody of mine, who is an avid Minecraft fan. Her favorite animal is jellyfish. Her birthday is coming up in a couple months... and I thought that if some important Minecraft team member saw this message and graced it with a "yeah, let's do it!", it would be the ultimate gift for this ultimate gamer girl. If I could take her on a surprise tour of a jellyfish aquarium on her birthday, it would make her whole month. I would be eternally grateful if someone out there could lend a hand, lend a vote, and make this possible.

    I really like your idea. I feel like there aren't enough dangers in the ocean. Jellyfish would be a cool addition!

    There should be jelly fishes because the mobs of the Kelly fishes are soon cute so that is why I voted for this

    Also new types of ocean biomes like: deep dark ocean, and the twilight zone in some ocean, I think first that if now the biomes in the land have changed to have biomes not just in horizontal but also in  vertical. I think, no! I request and recommend that the oceans will have a rework and will be vertical difference, and those aquatic animals will be in the new low ocean biomes. Second I think that the new places need new equipment: like the snorkel that can be crafted with bamboo, glass and the new mangrove planks(or maybe some new items Mojang?), with the snorkel you can see clearer in the water, and you can enchant the snorkel with new enchantments that will give the player speed in the water, clear vision and more time you can spend in the water without drowning, and I think that in rare cases drowns will have snorkels with low durability (in cases that rarer than a trident drown), and barrel boat that if you put a snorkel and use a lead to lead the barrel boat to yourself the air will never end, but if you go to far the lead will break and the air will stop coming.

    That idea is a support for glowing items. Aside from glow squid, this jellyfish could make leather armor glow for you with many variations of color.

    Jelly mob should be able to be invisible and tame able and can have multiple coloured children

    Actually this is the best idea I've seen. Jellyfish are very colourful and glowful in the dark than squids.

    Can you add a box jelly found in deep parts of ocean rarely spawn but do poison damage and regular damage? It can drop stinger to use for poison lll potions.

    LOVE IT!
    But I have many questions: 

    Do the moon jellies only spawn at night? Perhaps they could only spawn in light levels under 7. 

    What if there was a nether jelly[fish] that dropped magma cream instead of slime balls? And if they stung you, would it give you Poison or Darkness or Nausea or something? I really hope that the Jellyfish becomes a thing.

    Adding Jellyfish to Minecraft would be an amazing idea! There could be different types of Jellyfish that could roam in the deep depths of the ocean, in the coral reefs and in the rest of the ocean. There could be made- up types of Jellyfish and real species of Jellyfish. Since Jellyfish sting when you annoy it, the Jellyfish in Minecraft could do damage to the player when the player hits or interacts with it. I hope you agree with me about why there should be Jellyfish in Minecraft. I can't wait for the day when there are Jellyfish in Minecraft while I am playing!
