Requesting a Jellyfish Mob

The recent Aquatic update is probably Minecraft's best yet, in my humble opinion. The new mobs, the added blocks, and best of all, the CLEAR WATER. I am very much looking forward to diving into everything this update has to offer.

So here is my request. In light of the droves of new water mobs that have popped up, I found myself feeling like it was all missing one tiny but nevertheless attractive mob idea - jellyfish! I mean, jellyfish ARE one of the most common sea creatures around, and if we have pufferfish, it stands to reason we could have the jellies.

The Minecraft team has brought us some supremely creative ideas for creatures roaming about our world, I mean we have dolphins that chase the player's boat and turtles that lay eggs in the sand. A jellyfish mob would be icing on the cake. Think about it - instead of just the squid, we now have a small, colorful, tentacled little guy with lots of potential for unique behavior. Maybe the player takes minor damage from its stingers when they bump into one. Maybe it has a glow-in-the-dark feature, or swims in clusters. Maybe the turtle mob naturally chases after them. It would be a beautiful edition to Minecraft aquariums and ocean worlds.

Why my enthusiasm for a possible jelly mob? Well, for the last 2 years I've been building a very, VERY large world as a gift for a special somebody of mine, who is an avid Minecraft fan. Her favorite animal is jellyfish. Her birthday is coming up in a couple months... and I thought that if some important Minecraft team member saw this message and graced it with a "yeah, let's do it!", it would be the ultimate gift for this ultimate gamer girl. If I could take her on a surprise tour of a jellyfish aquarium on her birthday, it would make her whole month. I would be eternally grateful if someone out there could lend a hand, lend a vote, and make this possible.

    Personally I think there should be more added to the oceans, such as sea monsters! I think instead of just drowns there should be things to worry about, after all the ocean is really a scary place!

    Do it. I love it. Adds a little bit of beautiful danger to the ocean. Hope this gets added hardcore, maybe give a lionmanes jellyfish concept. Be cool to see a giant jelly fish with the little ones as a rare occurrence

    I've always liked the idea of a jellyfish mob, however I've always felt that mockup designs do not fit the style whilst also looking like an actual jellyfish. My ideal look for the design was always to have a 5-sided body with an animated texture for the tentacles. (Put in an X formation similar to the plant blocks like tall grass and flowers.)

    Those illustrations are beautiful, the oceans feel really lacking, and this would go a long long way to a prettier ocean

    This is a fantastic idea.  Honestly, jellyfish would make the Minecraft oceans much more fun, challenging, and possibly even dangerous. Plus, the variety of colors just gives more reason to vote. AND, you've even added pictures! Pictures are a great way to help Mojang speak about the idea. Fantastic idea! I'm voting! :)

    Dear Mojang Developers,

    Minecraft's Community have put so much effort into giving feedback on this page, and they are all very amazing people with bright and creative minds, yet you don't try to incorporate any of this into the game. Please either announce these features or at least give us an answer to whether you guys will implement these brilliant ideas.
