Requesting a Jellyfish Mob

The recent Aquatic update is probably Minecraft's best yet, in my humble opinion. The new mobs, the added blocks, and best of all, the CLEAR WATER. I am very much looking forward to diving into everything this update has to offer.

So here is my request. In light of the droves of new water mobs that have popped up, I found myself feeling like it was all missing one tiny but nevertheless attractive mob idea - jellyfish! I mean, jellyfish ARE one of the most common sea creatures around, and if we have pufferfish, it stands to reason we could have the jellies.

The Minecraft team has brought us some supremely creative ideas for creatures roaming about our world, I mean we have dolphins that chase the player's boat and turtles that lay eggs in the sand. A jellyfish mob would be icing on the cake. Think about it - instead of just the squid, we now have a small, colorful, tentacled little guy with lots of potential for unique behavior. Maybe the player takes minor damage from its stingers when they bump into one. Maybe it has a glow-in-the-dark feature, or swims in clusters. Maybe the turtle mob naturally chases after them. It would be a beautiful edition to Minecraft aquariums and ocean worlds.

Why my enthusiasm for a possible jelly mob? Well, for the last 2 years I've been building a very, VERY large world as a gift for a special somebody of mine, who is an avid Minecraft fan. Her favorite animal is jellyfish. Her birthday is coming up in a couple months... and I thought that if some important Minecraft team member saw this message and graced it with a "yeah, let's do it!", it would be the ultimate gift for this ultimate gamer girl. If I could take her on a surprise tour of a jellyfish aquarium on her birthday, it would make her whole month. I would be eternally grateful if someone out there could lend a hand, lend a vote, and make this possible.

    It's very good idea and also useful because he drop slimeballs this is not rare but it's found in caves means slime found in caves but I have a question we can't make many things from slimeballs I hope Mojang add some recipes who makes from slimeballs then this is useful.

    This is very good idea. Jellyfish in real world is common and it painful to touch one of these in real life so this should be in Minecraft too. I think this is very good and creative idea.

    Whenever you hit them they should sting you and do some damage to you. When you use a Trident you wont take any damage. If you have a Trident with Channeling on it you will get a * Static * bar on the item. The more Jellyfish you attack the more the bar fills up, once it is full the next entity you throw it at will be struck my lightning.

    I think its a great idea. Some jellyfish cause algae blooms so maybe there could also be a rare event where there are too many jellyfish in a certain area and a new green floaty algae plant spawns and it might slow down the player. The algae might also be used to make algae soup which requires a bowl 2 algae and water to craft

    Ok i think there should be 1 species of jellyfish but if there is more than one species at LEAST they should drop different stuff

    I LOVE THIS IDEA. Honestly, I have wondered about this for a long time now, and I really do think this is great, but I have a request.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    It would be quite fascinating if you could add a predator for the jellyfish, like a shark or large fish etc. It would be very awesome to watch one of these mobs hunt down a jellyfish and catch it before eating it. Thank you for you understanding.
