Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

With the addition of more and more passive mobs in the game, I'd like to see cages for pets. I like the idea of this working similar to the bucket for aquatic mobs. The cage could help transport small land mobs like the fox, cat, rabbits, chicken, parrot or even the bat!

It would be amazing if the cage could also have a displayed state, so rather than just releasing the animal after transport, the cage is placed with the mob inside. A pirate might have their parrot above their bed, a warlock might keep a bat above their study in the dim light or a farmer could be transporting chickens in the back of a wagon.

This has a lot of creative potential but also practical potential. Moving mobs to your base from their biome can be slow work, but a cage would help. It would be fun collecting all the colour variants. I know my main base is a long way from the snow biome so I was surprised to find white foxes and rabbits.

A chest surrounded by sticks and string would be a simple crafting recipe.
