Prismarine Doors

We all would want 1 simple feature, PRISMARINE DOORS!!! Imagine all the possibilities, you could make awesome prismarine mansions and have the doors to go with it! Tired of the old simple doors and want to prove how good at Minecraft you are? Just add prismarine doors to your house!

    But prismarine is a stone-type block...people basically never use stone to make doors....

    We already have 7 different types of doors. That's plenty for the vast majority of builds imho.

    Saying people don't use stone doors is like saying people don't care about the UFO's that have been in minecraft for the last five years.

    Much like the UFO's there are no stone doors in minecraft for people to be using in the first place.

    A stone variant to doors would honestly be a nice addition. The more options we have for getting creative the better, and prismarine doors sound perfect.

    I think MacchuPicchu is saying that people, IRL, don't use stone to make doors.  And that's true.  Stone tends to be too heavy and difficult to work with to make good doors.

    However, this is Minecraft.  More door textures would mostly just give more creative options.  If it helps, you could think of these doors as styled to look like/match prismarine rather than being made of prismarine.

    Just use a piston door with prismarine.  There is no need for a whole new door.

    I also like the idea of doors made from materials other than wood and iron...gold, all the stone types etc. Would be great for castle secret entrances etc.

    Commonly, no we don't usually make doors out of stone. However there's a difference between "Not the norm", and "Does not happen"
