If iron blocks make contact with a water source block or if it's left out in the rain too long, it will rust. Rusted iron blocks can be crafted into rusted iron ingots, and they can be crafted into rusted iron nuggets and vise versa. Rusted iron will be weaker than regular iron because it is rusted. In order to unrust iron you need sandpaper, it can simply be crafted by a sand block or red sand block and a piece of paper. A piece of sandpaper will have 50 uses and will have a durability bar. Also anything made out of iron should be able to smelt back into iron nuggets such as iron bars, iron doors, anvils, iron pressure plate, iron trapdoor, and ect... There should also be an iron button added and it can be crafted with an iron nugget. The only purpose is for decoration if you were building a city and wanted more details on the iron blocks. Or if you wanted to keep mobs away you can place rusted iron blocks down and mobs will take damage from technis. If you wanted to turn off the iron rusting, you can use the following command: /gamerulerustfalse
