The Lurker

The Lurker would be exclusive to the mine shafts and when aggressive will open its cloak and attack dealing 2 hearts of damage. When killed it would drop ecto plasum which would be used to brew a new potion called the potion of wall Passing which would allow the player to pass through certain blocks. Like Wood planks, Glass, Doors, Leaves, Netherrack, Fences, Sand, and Dirt. Also, the player would only be able to walk through walls on their Y-axis. Another thing when the ecto plasum is consumed it will highlight all mobs with in a 15 block radius. Another thing is the ecto plasum would be used to make the spectral arrow.

    I think it would be great to have a threat to minshafts it is a great idea

    An enemy in the shafts is a good idea but, passing through walls is a bit much.

    currently there is only cave spiders and the occasional zombie skeleton creeper 

    another mob would be nice, also, pls add more magic into its drop

    Mineshafts already have poison spider spawners as a serious threat, I'm not sure they need another.

    Unless you mean that they would spawn in player-made mineshafts?  I'm not sure how the spawning mechanics would work on that.

    Note: I know there's cave spiders but they only spawn via spawners in certain areas in mineshafts. Plz listen to my note.

    A few more ideas on this topic - perhaps instead of the Potion of Wall Passing, it could be called Potion of Intangibility (a much cooler name).

    Also, the mob could be neutral and invisible in light levels of 7 or below, but upon a player lighting the area up, it could appear and attack. This could definitely help an outdated structure like a Mineshaft become more of a challenge though.
