Wireless redstone rod and lever/button

This could be a ender rod like item craftsble using rods and other choice items that can be placed on any side of a block and only powers in to the block direction it’s connected to. Naming the rod and a lever or button the same name will set the connection/link together, allowing multiple rods connected to one button/lever or vice verse.

    Brilliant! Love this idea! Would let you create redstone stuff across an open space, tunnel or room, or even through solid object blocks, but would like the idea to include a 'sender' block and 'receiver' block rather than an antenna stuck on. Oh, and an actual on and off function rather than a single on-off pulse like observers (so annoying!).

    The signal lag you get from regular connections could be negated using this format (bonus!) but you could impose a max limit of, say, five blocks between the signal and option to use one, two, three, or multiple direction signal blocks so activating one switch doesn't activate every connected device. Or just blue-tooth and name it like RiderlesMold01 said, and parking a repeater next to it could still boost it just like regular redstone stuff.

    Actually, would be nice to have an option to 'encase' redstone dust and devices inside a glass 'insulator' block (clear or coloured as you please) so you don't have these weird 'open block' spaces in buildings, dungeons, and open air (that get washed away in flood) environments, too. Obviously not rails. It just looks so untidy and breakable with it all open.

    I love redstone, and seeing effortless wireless redstone is just wrong. There is wireless redstone, but it’s balanced and requires work. This would just take the challenge out of redstone.
