Mods on the console are messed up there should be a way to access the millions of mods already available to java edition through curse forge. On top of that why does mojang have to make a quick buck off of something thats been free for years. Stop rebranding things and just give us what we want without trying to empty our pockets.

    Hi,

This is my opinion on the Minecraft Marketplace Add-ons.

Marketplace add-ons should absolutely be free. I’ve spent a fair bit on modding my world in bedrock since add-ons dropped and although it has enhanced some of the experience it is not fit to charge almost £10 for some mods when they are full of bugs/glitches and are half complete! You say to support the creators but they are just churning crap out to make money. If the content is good we should be able to make a donation, like Java modders, to support them directly. At most I thought packs would be £0.50-£2.00 a pack to ‘support’ the creators but this is beyond a joke. They give us a half-job add-on then move on providing a trickle of updates. They should be free to inspire freedom of choice and competition in the market, to push modders harder to get paid, and to reward those who really provide outstanding content! This current model is just exploiting your console fan-base. Thank you reading my review.

I don’t dislike the downloading concept but I do think that mods should be free without a marketplace pass or anything like that

I want an actual Seasons mod, but the ones on the Marketplace are usually scams and the shaders/textures aren't that great. If there is someway for mods like Java style shaders can make it to Bedrock, I would personally be interested in playing even more than I do now!!

I Think Mods Should be free because if pc/computer could just go to a website/app for free mods shouldnt we be able to atleast get free mods too?

I like the idea of bedrock and console mods on the marketplace. They should be free though, that or only make us pay for the mod loader (which I really wouldn't like).

No, by mods I assume you mean add-ons.

What will the cost of the modpack be? Every add-on author would have to be paid, or consent to sell their add-on in a reduced price but only for that modpack.

Option A would make the add-on packs to be expensive and likey require the cost of multiple add-ones. What happens when a add-on author takes their add-on off and changes the price, how does that affect the add-on pack. Likely the add-on pack is dislisted for the first and have to increase price for the second.

Option B would pretty much limit the ability to turn a specifc add-on off, because it all has to be a package deal. As you wouldn't be able to get an add-on pack just to get two or 3 add-ons on a discount.

This would be a technical and legal headache to make and maintan.

I think completely banning fees for mods is extreme.

The rich gameplay in my world lies in the diversity of mods. However, mods are divided into two types: one is to add to the original gameplay, and the other is an independent gameplay. For example, Lucky Cube adds fun to the original game, but it relies on the original game. The furniture mod in the creation mode should be independent, and even a complete furniture mod can be independent of the game without relying on the original items. It transforms my world from adventure survival to a new decoration game. Many developers need some financial support, otherwise they cannot continue to update. I think some mods should be charged if players are willing, as it shows respect and support for the creators. Otherwise, my world will lose a considerable number of creators, which is not conducive to the gaming environment.

Taking Minecraft, a Chinese agency, as an example, mods can be charged and more creators will emerge. Since the creators' profit sharing has decreased, many top studios have announced their dissolution, resulting in the loss of a lot of content for the Chinese version of Minecraft! The extreme culture of free will bury many of the future of this game!

a fully functional Ben 10 add on to ps5 would make fans go crazy 5 bucks or free doesn't matter to me as long as we can obtain the Omnitrix the same way the fans on java can and Pokemon mods need to  hit bedrock asap
