that would be interesting but if your on a server with other people and they all  have op then it might get a bit hard to play

I would really like this to be added, as I'm a server owner. It'd probably be better if it were shortened to /inventory and could also access mob loot tables and inventories. I would also like to suggest some other additions to this command.

/inventory see [target] - Allows you to see the inventory, loot table, and/or armor of a target. Items with NBT data (shulker boxes, signs, chests, etc.) would show the NBT data.

/inventory chest [target] - Allows you to see the ender chest contents of a target. Only works on players.

/inventory copy [target] [item/s] - Allows you to overwrite your inventory with specific data from the target. If used on a mob with a loot table, the items from the loot table will be considered the target data. If used multiple times without disabling, the previously selected items to sync will be replaced with the new selection.

/inventory sync [target] [item/s] - Allows you to indefinitely share specific armor and items with a target. If used multiple times without disabling, the previous item/s to sync will be replaced with the new item/s.

    /inventory sync off - Disables inventory/armor sharing.

    /inventory clear [target] [item/s] - Replaces /clear.

    /inventory give [target] [item/s] - Replaces /give.

Depending on Mojang's desires, taking items from an inventory could be part of /inventory see or another command entirely. More changes could allow ender chest syncing and copying. I hope these new additions will improve the idea of a see inventory command.

This is a feature in a plugin on java (/invsee {player} ) but that is far from vanilla console addition. You get my vote!

Don't use space in commands, it would be the command argument. Instead why not "/inv" or "/invsee"?

We need one that is not server-sided, for sure.

    I was thinking something like

    /inventorydisplay block <pos: vector3> <player> [bool: allowModification?]

to display a chest inventory, etc to <player>.

    and

    /inventorydisplay player <player1> <player2>

to display <player1>'s inventory to <player2> [bool: allowModification?]

allowModification would specify whether <player1> can add/remove items from the specified inventory.

i think there is/used to be a command similar to this but this would be good for stuff and having something a little bit different like in a command block something that basically takes away certain items like tnt or lava buckets this would be good for creative worlds so no one would greif
