NOTICE

Are you sure you want to report this?

When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

You can use dogs on leads to detect players through walls as they run towards you.

My suggestion was deleted because of this thread I guess, so I put this here then.
Also "if/unless entity" command should detect entity in relative coordinates.
    "execute as @a at @s align xyz positioned ~ ~ ~ if entity @e ~ ~ ~1 run..."
Just few days ago while doing my minigame, I noticed that I can't detect entity from square whatever I did.
For now you can detect entity only from circle radius if using relative coordinates, and this means corners of the block doesn't work right at all, this simple thing really needs to be added.
I think those who have also been trying to do the same, knows what I'm talking about.

I also want to be detected (the player) while travelling through a vertical water elevator. Currently using, collect an item from a wooden pressure plate and replace item with a dropper, method.

so I hope the observer would emit a redstone signal if someone hit its face.

This mechanic would make building/repairing a redstone circuit that includes hoppers very hard to do, as it the circuit would triegger everytime a player walks in front of a hopper. Placing a piece of string creates the same effect and is hardly noticable. This mechanic would make

You can do this by placing string in front of an observer

You could use tripwire to do it

this can be achieved by placing string in front of the obserever, or by using commands. I disagree with this suggestion because it would make building redstone contraptions very difficult - if you walk in front of an observer, it could set the half-finished machine off and cause it to break. Things that require a lot of observers would be difficult to work on.
