    they should definitely add more ores, as we have been stuck with coal, iron, gold, diamond, red stone, and emeralds for years. they should also add more functions and ways to use the ores, for example, the only use for emeralds is trading, so maybe they could add emerald armor or tools.

    With this Cave Update, you should add some rare crystals, for example Azurite or Cuprit ( Amethyst , Sapphire, Ruby... etc) which give player "Luck" when opening random generated chests around the world, and can be used for trading with villagers as well or can be used to combine with weapons to give some special abillity to a weapon, or can add extra rare crystal which give player an achiviment that can be obtained only in some caves and are hard to find

    Strongly agree, The nether must be updated since it does not attract much attention this update may be accompanied by the Update Cuve and village update, where all the biomes and dimensions have their own special village and in the nether new special minerals are added, which new armor and tools are created and this also works for the end

    really a cave update is a really good idea, more ores, new ambient. example: aquatic updates implements water ruins,plants ect. In cave update we need something like that. Cristals, new blocks and magma cubes in lava, more cave sound. a new cave mob. Caves in al biomes etc

    I think you should be able to make a new set of armour & tools, whether it's made of a new material, emerald or obsidian, ect.

    We also need new ores. A few examples are sapphire and amethyst. Ruby could be added as it was in the files. Emeralds need more of a purpose. My idea was to add these ores, extend the armor bar by 10 full levels, and add new armor for these ores. The armor we have now would have to be changed to be balanced and some ores would have to be more rare such as diamonds. Then you could add a full set of tools for each of these new ores and for emerald. You could also be able to craft battle axes by putting 5 of that gem/ingot in the shape of a helmet and two sticks in the middle and middle bottom slots. It would have slow attack but it would do massive amounts of damage. You would have to charge it up like a bow but the output damage would be huge. For diamonds it could do 10 damage. That is just an example though. Caves need to be updated because we really haven’t had anything added to caves since Java 1.8. That’s almost 5 years. We really do need new stuff for caves to make the game feel right and complete.

    Maybe a thick slimy part of the cave and some slimes on it would be a good addition because in survival worlds its hard to find slimes!

    - Some Slimy blocks 
    - Icicles in ice caves

    First and foremost, the amount of blocks from surface level to bedrock must be increased. Greatly. Diamonds are harder to get to, and this gives more room to add a multitude of new content, such as...

    -Rare dungeons, libraries, even underground cities of hostile/friendly creatures

    -A bunch of new ores that can be used for armor and tools, and through this all spawn rates of such valuables can be decreased for higher satisfaction upon discovering the ore you need for your set

    -Vastly larger cave systems

    This brings me to biome relevant caves. This can be taken in so many wonderful directions! There are plenty of people who have ideas for that.

    Something I don't see mentioned as often, however, is how the underground environments should effect your character. Mining that deep just can't be safe or healthy. This is something I'd REALLY like to see: Imagine you're deep inside the ground strip mining, you mine the block in front of you and realize you've struck a luminescent mushroom cave. Suddenly, a gas emits from the hole, and you begin taking damage. You block it up and equip your "gas mask", a helmet combined with a phantom membrane, glass... or such. You see where I'm getting at? Also...

    -Heat causing damage the lower you go, and based on where you are, unless you have the proper armor to protect yourself from it

    -I heard someone say radiation being something you should have to protect yourself from, this can go for anything else, something creative like "Ender Sickness"

    First things first, we need a lot new ore. I think there shoukd be a ore that has ALOT MORE DURBILITY but it mines like a stone pick. I think this should be ruby. I think there should also be titanuim. But it is only used for armor and maybe a new weapon, GUANLET. The gaunlet does 12 damage no enchants, but only has a range of 4 blocks. Then theres a new rare ore that is Uraniam. I think uraniam should be to upgrade tools. A pickaxe should be upgraded by making its duribility and mining speed doubled. Witch would bring a new effect. Mining Weakness. Mining weakness would make you mine ores slower and make you move slower. If you mine alot you'll get this effect. Tarkatash can only be melted by lava.  If u get enough Tarkatash you can make a ring of undead. Any mob 6 blocks near u will not kill you.

    I say that caves don't need more ores or gems, just mini biomes that might provide other materials such as glowing mushrooms (suggested before) and possibly two or three more mobs.

    This needs to be a thing, caves now are soooooooooooo boring and with the terrible loot system theirs no need to go down there in the first place; and so in combination a redo of the loot system would be much appreciated.

    A cave update would be a lot of work since if they add new gems or minerals they would have to make new objects, weapons, armor etc. The generation of the new caves would be a lot of work, so I think the cave update is going to take a while or maybe they are already working on it :)

    I agree. I think the most important thing would be to increase the world height to make the underground portion of the world deeper. This would allow for more interesting and varied cave generation.

    You're right. In fact,  they should add mobs similar to iron golems called that protect underground dungeons. Oh and more life underground. Right now, in caves it's just stone fish,  stone, and ores. They should add more special stuff.😐

    Make better *Dungeons* and more minerals so the caves be better as other people suggest we need more biomes, it will be a great idea to add more stuff ill be more than happy to see 1.15 to be a cave update.

    Мне очень понравилась это идея, можно добавить пещерный город гномов. Можно добавить гномов и у них будут под землёй маленькие шахтёрские города. И было бы круто сними торговаться, и было бы круто если бы был каменный голе. Можно добавить новых монстров живущих только в пещерах! Ещё можно сделать так чтобы в руке светил я факел!

    My ideas:

    Copper Ore - Can be smelted for Copper Ingots, which can be crafted into wires. They work like redstone but can go up walls and on ceilings.

    Ruby Ore - This is only found in new nether caves, and drops Rubies. They can be traded with zombie pigmen

    Titanium Ore - When smelted, this gives you titanium Ingots. This can make tools and armour. They have the highest durability, but are only as efficient as Iron Tools.

    Drill - This has to be charged up before mining, but it mines very quickly when it does. This can be crafted with 3 iron and 6 redstone.
    Specific Enchantments:
    * Quick Charge - Takes less time to charge up before mining.

    Fossils - These have a low chance of dropping from regular stone blocks, and can be traded with researcher villagers in underground villages (check my next comment)

    New Mobs:

    Miner - These spawn in mineshafts and will trade materials (other than emerald) with you for good mining equipment.

    Ghost Miner - Hostile Mobs that act like zombies but can go through walls to attack you, and also can’t be hit by projectiles.

    Underground Villages:

    These new villages would spawn underground and the villagers there would have trades specifically to help players while mining. A new type of villager that can spawn in these villages is the Researcher. These will reward you greatly if you mine fossils and trade them with them.

    Nether Caves:

    Nether Caves make mining in the Nether more interesting, and are now the only way to find Nether Quartz (still very common in the caves), as well as Rubies, which are a new currency that can be traded with Zombie Pigmen.

    Love the ideas!  I would like to add...  Underground cities as one of the biomes!  Think Skyrims Blackreach!  We already have giant mushrooms (and small ones too) and buildings!  Large open areas... Then we need (as other mentioned) glowing mushrooms, or glowing rocks or something similar.  But make the roof covered in them so that everything in the area has an ambient light, like morning / evening outside.  

    I also like the idea that some would be filled with creatures... some would be just empty...  And some would be filled with some villagers!  Possibly some filled with a dragon and other large creatures.
