    Now that there are biome heights, cave gen, fortress update and mine shaft updates are differently due. updating spawner rooms would be nice also.

    Rubies could be a cheaper equivalent to Netherite, and have tools, armor, and blocks.
    The wouldn't spawn near Redstone or Emeralds in order to avoid confusion.
    They could also have a higher chance of getting high level enchantments.
    There's already a sprite for the item in the files so Mojang has a starting point.

    How about an abandoned mine storage area? You know a refinery that those abandoned mine shafts would go to to drop off their loads to be refined into ingots. A nice little place to grab some gear and loot

    Maybe new ores like Amethyst and Topaz could come with this update as half step alt. Upgrades?

    Crystal formations are tipically around mountains due to the presure. You could have alot of unique crystals for decoration and building under the extreme mountain biomes or at least a higher spawn rate. Crystal caves that have no real value but look great. Real unique with silk touch prahaps.

    I think there must be more tools and armors because they are too limited just 5 types !!

    and i think that the idea of adding abilities for each armor to become more selections i mean come on everyone takes the diamond, even the netherite armor and tools are too hard to get .

    I do feel like we need a update to caves but I don’t want to change them too much, like you said some underground biomes like ice caves, sandstone caves and spider caves, would be excellent additions, but as far as generation I don’t really want an overhaul to cave generation, it would be nice for Mojang to perfect the generation of the caves we have but I don’t really want to see completely new generation

    Possibly a possible a miner drone that mines for you and runs on coal or other sources of fuel for a furnace. Maybe even a whole new fuel made from the new mushrooms and wood from the nether update. It would mine a 3x3 area in front of it for a set number of blocks until you run out of fuel. It might be hard for it to run on mobile though, but I’m sure it’s possible. After all, they got Terraria 1.3 on mobile, so they can obviously do some really cool stuff with Minecraft right?

    People are saying new ores but for what purpose, I like the idea of gems that could possibly have a value making them half , twice etc the value of emeralds of coarse respectively they would be rarer  based on value . Also may I mention Mojang people would freak and be so happy that you did this that I could see possibly new players coming into the game

    I think in addition to new Cave's there should be a scary Mob that ambushes players in the dark, giving people another reason to use torches, or maybe use different light source from the Never like Blue flames to prevent them from spawning.

    A mob, something like a Vendigo or Goblins + HobGoblings (bigger and tanky ones)

    In addition to that, maybe redesign MobSpawner to look like a cave settlement, think of Ants for that idea.

     Or for the goblins, just a set of small cave-like rooms with bones around and a small chance for a double chest that has a small loot table (leather armor, iron ingot, gold nuggest, carrots and/or mushrooms) Goblin hideouts would have to be rare and fairly close to the surface, since i imagine they would go out to hunt and attack villages.

    Better Generation like flooded parts of a cave were you have to dive.Long tunnels could be added too

    Maybe even a very rare gem for trading thats worth 6 emeralds for example...maybe even a mechanic to destroy the gem and get XP from it idk. Should be a kind of enchanted gem.

    We should add a new type of liquid for the caves my idea is acid that would work like lava except it’s green and possibly corrode certain blocks. It would generate in the certain cave biomes that you mentioned

    While it may be hard to implement there are mods that do it, and what i mean is the world height of course. not just the build limit but how deep the world is too. Imagine digging down, and down, and down. most of the Minecraft world is open sky and a lot of air blocks and many of the largest structures from creative builders are forced into a smaller scale than they would like.
    I know some very important features of Minecraft's technical aspect works around its limited height and it could cause some lag having more blocks loaded but the mod Cubic Chunks allows you to toggle a vertical render distance and makes the world infinite in all directions with no build limit so such a feat is technically possible.

    I don't think removing the build limit is necessarily needed but maybe just another hundred blocks or doubling the current build limit and having a lot of this new space underground. it would provide so much more space for a complex 3D cave system with sub biomes.
    what if everything appears as normal but a new "post game" is added. bedrock is replaced by another near unbreakable material that only Netherite tools can destroy, this block doesnt drop anything and is mined slowly but once you crack the shell with your netherite pickaxe or tool you are allowed to explore another hundred blocks deeper in a sort of pseudo nether. unique mobs, lots of lava and bats, i would absolutely love a larger golem type enemy

    A dungeon that you can't mine into from any direction maybe? Possibly you have to kill something to make it minable (or, just use mining fatigue). Also potentially have large aquifers filled with water that primarily spawn a certain ore per aquifer. Want lapis? Go over to that aquifer. Want gold? Go to this aquifer. And finally, the blocks i'd want most is scoria. It's porous and red (like the real thing) and you can stand on it, but water can go through it. This would allow for very interesting mechanics.

    A few features I would suggest ;

    Biomes; of course

    I would love to see biomes that are self-reliant and are completely self-based on having no relation to any current biome. Ones that make you feel still in the Overworld, but also in a different dimension.

    Ores;

    Not just new variants of ores, but new features with ores, some random, but popular stones Carnelian, Rose Quartz, Opal. Each one can have something unique like how coal is known as fuel, or diamond is known as the best, and redstone is known as something technical and for machinery, each one with something along those lines.

    New classic scores by C4

    The same song gets boring for a few hours mining in a cave. But the scores better be made by C4

    Small details

    More cave like spawns, maybe if you are too far from the outside you get hypoxia and only undead mobs should spawn in caves that are a hypoxia-level away from the outside.

    I think they should make it so you can dig thousands of blocks deep, it feels like I mine down for like 5 minutes and I reach bedrock!
