    While this is an interesting idea I would argue it is unnecessary. The drive to continue progressing is already provided by the fact that higher-tier pickaxes are not only faster, but are required to mine certain types of ores.

    I agree with MacchuPicchu.  The reason to upgrade is already built into the game.  You can’t get gold, redstone, or diamonds with a stone pick.  You can’t get obsidian until you have a diamond pick.  Plus the mining speed for the more basic tools seems like a snail once you try the upgraded ones.

    with this new mining ide, will make them change the whole thing with mining works, as how they change the wather and how that is now in the new update

    How does it change how mining works?  In a way that will be interesting and fun, at least.  You have two people who say they don’t see how your suggestion would change things, based on the stated goals of the suggestion, and you reply by saying exactly what you already said in the same words.
