Pet Dragons?

How about having a dragon of your own? in any sizes (dog size dragon or Ender dragon size) watching them grow from a baby hatchling to an adult, including with its own elemental powers, and where you have to find it specifically like; water dragons will be in the sea in temples, fire dragons at the volcanos or dungeons, earth dragons at the forests/jungle temples, nether dragons at the netherworld, cave dragons at the caves or abandoned mines, etc. they should also have the distinct color and design of their elemental powers.

    I feel if they made it where you could grab the dragon egg after fighting the end dragon then you could raise that as a pet, but there shouldn't be an abundant of dragons in the world, I think maybe that one egg can produce a new dragon, and maybe it can respawn after each new end dragon respawn or maybe its like mob loot, it has a chance that the end dragon lays a new egg after each respawn, and I think more end mobs would be fun as well, because at the moment all we have are end dragon, shulkers and endermen.

    What if when you defeat the ender dragon you take the egg with you and take care of it and hatch it in lave and then you could like feed it fish and other meats then when it grows older then it gets it “elemental powers” you could also use saddles to ride them And attach chest like on the llamas

    cool, but I think there should be an end dragon pet that hatches from a dragon egg when you give it an end crystal

    If that's going to happen then we should have something to tame the dragon depending on where you find them

    Also you should be able to like have a key/button to press to make then breath out their element. There should be a few dragons in each biome each with a couple of powers

    I dont exactly like the idea of a pet dragon  because I think if they do get added they should when they are in "Teenage" Form and above if you hit them 2 times they attack you also if you get a pet dragon they should Kill you because you will eventually kill the ender dragon those are just my concerns for the pet Dragons

    Having a pet dragon would be cool since one of my friends loves dragons but we don't want to download some crazy mod that'll cause too much lag and we still want to get achievements. So this is a good idea but the elemental thing might be a little too over the top.

    I absolutely love the idea but the elemental is too many times been imagined and not vanilla in nature! Maybe it has some other abilities that fit the theme of a redstone punk world(current theme of minecraft)!

    The other problem is that it will be to overpowered in pvp so there must be a weakness of the dragons that is easy to obtain so that people who don't high level equipment can defend themselves against the dragons!

    It's a great idea, but it would be wayyyyy to op. What about when you collect the egg you have to take care of it in the perfect conditions for a little for it to hatch? Oh and maybe a better way of getting the egg besides throwing it on a torch :/

     It actually was announced in version 1.0 (The same version as the Ender Dragon) That Notch announced a 'red dragon' that is able to be tamable & can even fly with you on it's back! But ever since Notch Left, It was not released but People like Jeb & Dinnerbone are considering it.

    I really like the concept, but maybe instead of them spawning. How about you make them only obtainable from the dragon egg? That way it would be a very special dragon. As for elements, where you hatch them would determine the elements. Or maybe suggest an item that does so. Really cool idea tho!

    even if the devs don't want to put a pet dragon in minecraft, they could at least make a dragon that you can only get with commands or a spawn egg, like the giant zombie

    if there was water dragons, maybe they could look like the water animals from Avatar: the Way of Water (speaking of which, someone should make an avatar world and then update it every time they release a new movie)
