Pet Dragons?

How about having a dragon of your own? in any sizes (dog size dragon or Ender dragon size) watching them grow from a baby hatchling to an adult, including with its own elemental powers, and where you have to find it specifically like; water dragons will be in the sea in temples, fire dragons at the volcanos or dungeons, earth dragons at the forests/jungle temples, nether dragons at the netherworld, cave dragons at the caves or abandoned mines, etc. they should also have the distinct color and design of their elemental powers.

    Great concept. But it wouldn't fit minecraft very well. it might fit a little better if we were talking about a dragon that stays dog sized with no special powers. Some things it would still offer would be a battle companion much like the dog/axolotl, and possibly a mount, but that would be a little overboard for minecraft. I personally think dragons wouldn't fit into the game

    I keep imagining an update where they add dragons to the real world of Minecraft. It would be amazing to walk around the world and see dragons in the sky, just like Skyrim.

    Id love the dragons as a pet but them as an adult wont fit in a small minecraft hous and might suffocate so when released build big houses ok?

    It may be better if it was you combined the ended dragon egg with a elemental shard that you can get from those places. Because it might be too op rocking up to the enderdragon with a dragon of your own.

    I think this would be a good way to add a new cool pet, and also maybe use your dragon egg for something other than a trophy, but the power idea would be a bit broken. Great idea though!

    I think it would be better to rework the End dragon Egg, maybe you can take the egg and have it placed in a certain 'Incubation' like nest, say a Water nest turns it into a Water dragon, or surround the egg with a Fire nest turns it into a Nether Dragon, etc- What I would especially love, if it takes time for the dragon to grow. And as it grows you need go build bigger home for it! Of course you can ride it when its grown and maybe have an attack. Personally, would love to have a skeleton dragon

    Would love to be able to hatch a baby dragon from the End dragon egg. A neat feature would be requiring the player to be within 5-10 blocks of the dragon when it hatches in order for it to imprint on the player, otherwise you could have a hostile overworld dragon on your hands. Perhaps special conditions are required for it to hatch. As for "powers" of a welped dragon - I think it should strictly be ridable/flyable only, no shooting breath bombs, and should be smaller than the End dragon. There should also be a gamerule to allow the eggs to hatch or not.

    very good idea what we all wanted someday to be able to tame dragons! I suggest that you can put armor on him have chains so that he does not escape, and you can ride on it to fly and help you in battle but like dogs if you attack their same species you start to attack if you do not take care of it from a young age (that it is generated in eggs and has its own nest in the dark oak biomes and that around it there are chests, and gold)

    this would be a great edition to the game. A Red Dragon is perfect for the overworld having a Hp of 50. Found in mountain areas it could be tamed with bones. If not it could be an egg found by defeating a dragon.

    Pet dragons are going to be excellent additions for Minecraft's End Update! They can populate the boring End skies, and can help with travel.

    The idea of having a dragon as a pet is absurd and a recent toon-related idea which goes against dragon lore. I would like to see more dragons though

    I feel like this would be a really cool idea, but instead of having them spawn in certain places maybe they could have the dragon egg from the end hatch into different kinds of dragons based on where they hatch (it would probably take a few days to hatch). It would add a bit more dificulty and nuance to getting a dragon because you would have to go to the end then make a dificult decision as to what kind of dragon you want. It would also make sense lore wise because the ender dragon is supposed to be the last dragon left. Also, maybe some dragons have more offensive powers in the form of breath attacks that deal more damage to certain enemies (maybe fire dragons would be best against zombies or strays, while a water dragon would do extra damage to blazes, ender would deal lots of damage to all enemies because it would require you to spens a few days in the end) while others have more recreational uses (Earth dragons could cause near by plants to grow faster and cave dragons could help lead you to near by ore or different cave biomes). And maybe the offensive dragons grow to be around the same size as the ender dragon, allowing you to eventually ride them, while recreational dragons grow to the size of dogs. Just thought these could be some interesting additions to this idea.

    yes, Yes, YES!!! This would be a great use for the Dragon Egg. In my opinon, I think it should take a very long time to hatch the Egg and take a very long time for the Dragon to grow up and eventually have a small chance of getting another egg? But it should be very hard to take care of and do upkeep on it, in my personal opinion.

    estaria bien pero que hubieran "poderes" por ejemplo de fuego o de agua seria problematico por que pondria cantidades de agua exagerada y/o podrian quemar y poner lava, apoyo la idea pero al tipo de un perro pero con mas daño, pero obviamente mad dificil de coneguir

    I previously posted a comment where i explained that you should hatch your dragon from the Dragon Egg with lots of late Game items like a Dragon head a beacon, totem, Something from the ocean Monument and a Special saddle the raveger drops in raids but then i think you have to prevent the Dragon pet from fighting the Ender Dragon after reviving it so either its Just to big to fit in the Ender Portal oder be scared of the Ender Dragon an be really useless. I like the Idea of unlimited flight and the fire breathing Just harming entities and no Blocks to balance it in PvP Just go Underground an the Dragon ist useless and i think to tame it you have to fly and Hope it doesnt Knock you of so you pretty much need an elytra to tame it. Also the Dragon is hovering at random while flying so its increadibly hard to aim down and the only thing usable remains the firebreathing witch is Not effective agains Players but vs mobs and entities also you or the dragon takes damage mid flight it will Knock you off so in PvP the elytra will still bei better because its faster and your a smaller target. Anyone getting knocked of prettymuch needs to wear an elytra anyways to not die from falling. This means the Dragon will be late Game and unpractical in PvP and therefore more of an expensive late game trophy to fly over your conquered Minecraft world

    Maybe the dragons could be x2 of the ender dragon depending on type saying like horses some of them run fast and some of them run slow or some of them have a lot of hearts or have low hearts

    I like this suggestion. It will help us travel much faster. Maybe they are in a type of structure like a volcano or a dragons cave.
