Minecraft has a lot of blocks, but what if they had more? Why do we need them? Please don't just add lists of things - these will be marked as spam and removed! Also, no furniture, guns, or vertical/"sideways"/"upright"/"standing" slabs (yes, we see you).

I guess my only concern is how you would differentiate between this and normal maps, both in crafting and in name.

Bedrock already has two different maps, the map and the locator map.  One is crafted like the java map, the other is crafted with 9 paper.  This map could be called something like the gridless map and would be crafted with something else in the center instead of the compass.  I’m not sure it matters what.  Maybe a sugar, maybe a redstone dust.

I would suggest just replacing the bedrock map that is crafted without a compass with this map that does not snap to a grid, but the map without a location marker probably has its uses.

Interesting... not something I feel is absolutely needed in the game but I'll give it a vote because it could end up being useful

This is relateable. I would like that too. I also think they should make it for when you extend a map it doesn't expand mostly one direction. Maps really do need to be fixed like this.

I would love something like this, nothing worse than building something that would look great on a map in a neat scenic location only to find it's in the corner of the map, requiring 4 zoomed in maps to get a nice picture of it.

Perhaps make it so right clicking a map on a cartography table will center that map to that cartography table (unless it is a locked map).... similar to how you can right click a map on a banner to pin the banner on the map.

It might even only work if the map has not yet been started, so you right click a fresh map on a cartography table to create a map centered on that block.
