For lack of a downvote option I guess I'll comment here to say I disagree strongly, and instead suggest the UI on Win10 edition start looking more like Java's.

Even though it has been the same for a really long time now, at this point, let's leave it alone. It's a classic menu system that's worked well for years. Why change it this late in the game? I think it's okay that Bedrock has its own style, and it has grown on me, but let's leave Java alone.

The one thing I would like to see brought from Bedrock is a new background though for the main menu. I like the idea of changing it for different updates to spotlight new changes. Particularly with Update Aquatic for how beautiful the underwater looks like now.

No and instead lets do the exact opposite

I feel like Bedrock menus should be closer to the Java menus, just to provide consistency, because a LOT of people play Java (Or Old MCPE, or Legacy Console) as their first time playing.

I do think that the main menu and inventory UIs on Bedrock Edition are much improved compared to the Java Edition, so slowly porting them from one platform to another would help with familiarity and feature parity greatly.

To be more specific on the idea:

    • Main menu with the crisper logo and black-on-gray buttons
    • Iconized and tabbed settings menu with simple toggles instead of ON/OFF
    • The tabbed "Play" menu and world creation UI
    • The creative menu with expanded/recipe book/survival inventory toggle buttons and same kind of items grouped (e.g. expand white wool to see all colors of wool)
    • Close buttons on every inventory

I disagree due to the fact I have been using Java Edition for about 5 years and I still love the main menu. It'd be sad to see it go away.

It really should be the other way around, bedrock's UI is clunky and slow, pretty convoluted. We should make bedrock more like java rather than the other way around.

Make crafting like Xbox Bedrock, period. Many, many people are using using controllers on pcs. Just because “that’s the way Java has always been” is a silly statement and used as an excuse to not change. Crafting on a an xbox is so much better. It’s really awkward and a slow process on Java. Please make Java’s crafting the same. For the Java purists, things can still be crafted the old way in bedrock if one chooses to do so.

No. The Java menu is just fine, with an easy interface.

Please no Java UI is fine as it is now. They should do the exact opposite IMO.

If I were to give my opinion, I think I disagree but at the same time agree, there's some parts of the UI in bedrock that look a bit better than java (example: the settings screen is a bit more user friendly, there's more animations in the ui, etc.) but I still like the java menus. My solution would be to put an option to change it between bedrock like and original

I think it deserves to learn the way of sort of items in the Bedrock creative inventory for the Java.It is possible and there is a good example that is the menu of trading of villagers.I also hope some ways of sort which by materials, functions and customizations can come true.

Bedrock edition UI is cleaner and works great on mobile, but it's the OPPOSITE for PC and ESPECIALLY console! Legacy Console Edition had UI similar to Java and it worked amazingly, but here comes bedrock with a UI clearly not meant for your platform! It's so microsoft.

I agree with that idea besides I am limited to bedrock so I  because I don't have Java anymore.

Some people would like the Java menu better so maby an option for Java or bedrock menu like how on mobile there is an option for classic crafting of pocket crafting

I think the Menu on Java Edition is way easier to understand and intuitive to use so a change in the exact opposite direction would bring more greatness
