Penguins

Now, I've noticed a lot of cool new things added into the game, such as Dolphins, different fish, the trident, and the new swimming animation! 

 

But, I was wondering if Mojang could try and add penguins into the game as well?

 

They would (of course) live in the tundra biome with polar bears (who would hunt the Penguins.)

Baby penguins would have little eggs to spawn out of (like an ender dragon egg, but to save time, just have the egg disappear and a baby penguin appear in it's place when it hatches.)

And adults would be able to slide around on the ice, slowly breaking through some ice blocks, in order to go fish for their young. 

 

(Maybe, if a baby penguin went into deep water, it would kill it? Circle of life-wise?)

 

well, this is just a thought. :P

    I think that the penguin should be a mob, the same height as a creeper, it should spawn in the iceberg biome, and it should dive into the water to and swim around. It should be a friendly mob, like chickens, and be a little slow on land, it should have 5 lives and drop raw salmon and snowballs, they should spawn in little packs of 3. And the babies should be the size of rabbits for maximum cuteness. I really want them to be tameable, but I don't know. Oh Ya! They should also lat penguin eggs, which are the same as normal eggs,but when you through them, instead of a chicken, a baby penguin and can be put in recipes as normal eggs.

    IRL penguins love to gathers pebbles to build their nests, they even steal pebbles from each other. Maybe this could be used for some cool game mechanic.

    I love this idea. They created pillagers in PE Version 1.9 so maybe in 2.0, they'll create arctic animals like seals and narwhals!

    Maybe the penguin could be the same height as a chicken and the babies the same size as the chicks. The penguins should probably have three textures(babies=fluffy like a new born emperor penguin chick, male and female with their own textures). The penguins can lay eggs after which the male sits on it eventually breaking in 2 in game days replacing it with a chick. Maybe a cute feeding animation when the chicks get fed. Polar bears will attack them if in range. Adding seals would be good since they are one of the many animals that kill penguins.

    Maybe the penguins could be tamed n used to catch fish for the player n collecting them using the fish barrel... This could be a very easily obtainable but maybe a bit time consuming food source...

    Penguin should spawn on all icy biomes. They should lay their eggs were they spawn .It sould take 1-2 in game days for the eggs to hatch.The would spawn in groups to 5 or 4 and sometimes with babies.

    I agree, but the penguins should be able to be tamed and follow you like a cute, cuddly, waddling pet. They should follow the owner, as well as be able to open doors, get in a minecart or boat with the owner, etc.

    What about this idea, just like how dolphins bring you to treasure when fed cod, how about when you feed a penguin fish it has a small chance to bring you clay, coal, lapis, quartz, and maybe a much smaller chance of a diamond or something extremely rarely, since penguins bring pebbles to their loved ones! I think itd be funny. Also when breeding penguins how about actually have them carry their eggs around on their feet, itd add a cool breeding feature just like how turtles breed in sand which i feel is the very cool

    I think penguins should go to the water, hunt fish, and if they have a baby the parents should feed it.

    This is a nice idea, as we could add a few other predators to the penguin other then bears. The penguin could be like dolphins, where if you give them fish, they lead you to something useful.

    Hmm, perhaps leopard seals could do the job for attacking penguins instead, theyre one of the most frightening animals on earth in my opinion, like the mammal equivalent of sharks and they actually live in antarctica. I personally think it would make make more sense that penguins should only spawn on icebergs in deep frozen ocean and polar bears on icebergs in standard frozen ocean, I know minecraft isnt supposed to make sense but it just seems weird to have those mobs together.

    There is a biom of ice ocean covered in icebergs. I would like to see such mountains covered with cute penguins, diving in the area and pulling on their bellies.

    Maybe arctic foxes would attack baby penguins, and the adults would try to protect them by creating a shield with their bodies!

    I would like the penguins to be slightly bigger than the baby villager and the baby penguin should have a different texture and they should be the slightly smaller than the bee.

    Turns out that there is this biome that has mountains of ice floating on the water. This is a perfect biome.
