Paul Mario Ubalde (i don’t know how to tag!) I really like your idea about the Treasure Hunter. I also think though that pearls should be used for something aquatic related. For example, someone said that pearls should be craftable into ender pearls, but the pearl is aquatic and maybe should be craftable to Heart of the Seas instead.

Pearls should glow, be tradeable with fishing villagers, have the same rarity as the totem of undying, found in sunken ships or be found from clams that could attack you ,for example, biting the player.

The pearls could be the same item as the Heart of the Sea.

Add clams the size of blocks. They could be in the Deep parts of the Ocean so you gotta venture deep for these valuable pearls

pearls as a concept are a neat addition, but maybe have them be placable or emit light. i'd see them being mircoblock/head sized and able to place at various angles. could be good for interesting small lighting details

Maybe you can craft pearl bracelets that give you water breathing when held

Yes! If there are ender pearls, there should be regular pearls. It makes a lot of since.

    • Trading, maybe like five-ten for an emerald, dependent on rarity.
    • placing a pearl could attract drowned, allowing for drowned farms.
    • pearl dust (ground up pearls) to add shine/luster to anything dealing with ores.
    • like the drowned, fish will be attracted to them and school around them.
    • Possibly could be combined with Elytra to create pearlescent wings.
    • Increase spawn rate of certain aquatic mobs.
    • Pearl clusters (rare), similar to turtle egg clusters, spawn in clusters of 1-3 possibly higher.

I'm just going off the top of my head right now.

So here's an idea of what they could be used for:
Make them throw-able like an Ender Pearl, but most blocks if hit will do nothing except drop the pearl so you can pick it back up again.
If it hits a Target Block though, teleport the player like an Ender Pearl.

This would be useful as a more common version of the Ender Pearl, and it would be useful to the dungeon-builders out there who want a teleportation mechanic, but only want it to be used in certain ways so it doesn't break the challenge of the rest of the dungeon. Since it only works on Target Blocks, that also means a redstone contraption could be activated upon landing.

It would also be a neat easter egg as most players would throw the Pearl once and think it does nothing.
