The happy ghast should be as fast or faster than the players walk speed.

I love the happy Ghast, especially after the lead changes, but I honestly don't see myself interacting with it much for the simple reason that it's just too slow in its current state to justify using for travel.

I understand that the devs don't want to overshadow the elytra and other modes of transport, so I agree that it should be slower than most other forms of travel, but I think the players' walking speed is a fair minimum speed, as it's still slower than sprinting or using a boat

    No, the current speed is perfect for building, faster than that would ruin it. (It could be affected by speed potions tho)

    Yes, speed potions would work well. possibly just giving the ghast sugar would speed it up.

    I think the speed is great. You still have to option to give a speed potion if you want faster. But for building it is a very good speed. The amount of mobs this thing can haul as well is phenomenal. You can literally transport an entire village at once with it! Any faster would be op imo.

    a lot of people are saying that you can just use speed potions, but I tested it. you can apply speed to the happy ghast, but it's flight speed wont actually increase. the speed effect only changes movement speed on the ground, not flight speed. even if the speed effect did boost happy ghast speed, the duration of the effect and the power of the effect don't justify bothering to make and use speed pots for boosting happy ghast speed.
