Happy Ghast Travel Route

Now that Happy Ghasts are a thing, and with the recent snapshot introducing leashable mobs and boats — even allowing HGs to be used as a transportation method via boats — wouldn't it be amazing if we could set up travel routes for Ghasts and have them move from point A to point B, transporting whatever we need? I imagine this feature as a way to carry items from one automatic farm to another, creating a sort of vanilla supply chain within the game.

    sort of like allays with noteblocks? This could be a cool idea, but what would you use it for? you cant automatically... wait can you hopper into a chest boat? This could be awesome for a novel way of transporting items around your base
