Ability to leash minecarts together like boats.

With the recent changes to leash mechanics, it feels like a no-brainer to add the ability to leash minecarts together like with boats and other mobs. This would be great for transit systems as it would allow players to only use one train of minecarts instead of many individual ones, preventing collusions that would send multiple in different directions. In java this would also make the minecart with furnace more reliable, as one would not need one on each end of a line of minecarts, instead only needing one. In niche systems, this could also reduce the ammount of powered rails required to have multiple parralel tracks, as one could chain the parralel minecarts to one another.

    If this could be added it would make the train a more fast and efficient way to transport in other words BLAZEN!!!

    I'd like to have a zombie apocalypse sort of thing where you can fight zombies stuff like that while being chased by a giant worm

    Please. It feels like someone resents minecarts. I ask for very little. Just brakes, limited self-movement (please give us a very small furnace car), and the ability to link even just three carts together.

    the minecarts need more uses it sucks at transportation so it needs other uses

    While there are already several methods for transporting objects, minecarts have been largely forgotten. Although you can "join" them and advance with the minecart equipped with a furnace, it's a very basic system. It would be interesting to see a better system added to them.

    Given we can already link boats (and chestboats!) with leads and pull behind a minecart in a three wide lane, what harm is there in allowing the same with minecarts in a one wide lane?

    YEEESSS. This will be very, very useful - imagine not having to make 5 trips to find all the minecarts that went flying away at mach 3 when they collided!!!!

    This way you could have one rail way for one line of carts - ready to carry you, your friends, and your gear to a new adventure!

    Joining minecarts is a good idea BUT how about sorting out lag that sometimes makes minecarts unusable
