Ability to leash minecarts together like boats.

With the recent changes to leash mechanics, it feels like a no-brainer to add the ability to leash minecarts together like with boats and other mobs. This would be great for transit systems as it would allow players to only use one train of minecarts instead of many individual ones, preventing collusions that would send multiple in different directions. In java this would also make the minecart with furnace more reliable, as one would not need one on each end of a line of minecarts, instead only needing one. In niche systems, this could also reduce the ammount of powered rails required to have multiple parralel tracks, as one could chain the parralel minecarts to one another.

    There already have been a sort of attempt to do exactly this with the barely functional train system in java. This would be am excellent way to realize this attempted inclusion. Perhaps we could use chains to connect minecarts?

    If you think this is toooo OP, just limit the length of minecart chain, for example 8 or 7

    this would completely overhaul minecart/item transportation making it a lot less stressful to move items across large distances and give a use to furnace minecarts

    This doesn’t make sense. I mean who even uses mine carts? In the early game it is too iron expensive to even build a minecart system anywhere. They are slow and you can now just craft a saddle and ride away. Also in the late game WE HAVE ELYTRAS. For mob transit it’s clear Mojang wants us to use the Happy Ghast for mob transportation. Whats the point of making minecarts leashable? Instead, make minecarts faster, rails less expensive, and allow us to make self rail placing and collect carts as a train system that does require you to put rails down. Add dispenser minecart and put it next to whatever you want to be transported in a minecart behind it. Fill the dispenser with what are now cheaper rails and activate it with red stone and watch them go. You should be able to push this machine to alter its destination on the go. As for minecarts crashing. Just remove crashing?

    Esta implementacion si sirve, la verdad es que si lo ocupa minecraft. Porque asi llevamos desde 2020 con las vagonetas de mina, y yo como las uso micho nose como unirlas y, además en survival juego por lo que, si me es necesario trasladarme asi.

    Everyone knows that the only reason you would use mine carts other than furnace carts is for roller coasters. I am surprised Mojang hasn't done much to make it easier to make roller coasters.

    And if there were 2 tiers of powered rails, copper mixed with redstone dust is tier one and gold mixed with redstone dust is tier 2. Also if mojang specifically made a piece of track that would take a redstone input that would move it from turning left to straight to turning right. Pls also add derailing and copper tracks which have a higher chance to derail especially if not in pristine condition(not weathered, exposed), and you should combine this with iron rusting!!!

    To the person who said that we should remove Bedrock edition because Java is better, I don't really understand what that has to do with being able to leash minecarts together, also what's so much better about Java, and if Bedrock was removed, what would happen to all of the bedrock worlds? Would they just be gone? If not, it would likely be very difficult to move every Bedrock world to Java in time.

    Stop commenting that we should use chains instead of leads, just press the up arrow on existing comments that mention the exact same idea, it's literally there to say "yes".

    I agree with that last comment, but I would like to suggest an extension of the idea of using leads instead of chains: what if you could use leads or chains, but the leads allow for more separation between minecarts and the leads can't connect as many minecarts at the same time.

    I suggest putting villagers who can defend themselves and villagers who can be miners and farmers but we can give them emerald and they work for us and I also suggest adding abandoned houses in the game all over the map big and small houses in all seasons and thank you to all the developers of Minecraft
