On my quest to beat hardcore minecraft, I started a bunch of worlds and explored them for a decent amount of time, both the surface and the underground, as I really enjoy caves. But according to my experience the cave biomes are very very rare. Furthermore, lush caves are the only ones that have a indicator for their location.
Now the simple solution could be to increase the frequency of generation of these biomes, but if that can't be done then I propose new methods for finding them.
1. Lush caves
- Yeah we can find them via the azalea tree, but even those are difficult to find.
- So what if, each time a new tree spawns from a flowering azalea bush, it "pointed" in the direction of a naturally generating one. as in it could lean in a certain direction.
2. Dripstone caves
- Imagine if copper golems, after receiving a pointed dripstone, lead you to the nearest dripstone cave, similar to a dolphin. It doesn't need to go underground, it could just take you "above it" on the surface.
3. Deep dark
- This biome can be just as is, something you stumble upon.
