If you break a burnt tree log, it drops charcoal but if you use silk-touch it drops charred wood.

Wood burns in several stages, - scorched, charred, ash.

    • Scorched wood is basically normal wood and produces a normal woodset.
    • Charred wood requires silk-touch to obtain and otherwise drops charcoal. Burnt wood is used in building - they char the wood to appear black and it helps preserve it from decay - so it can have a full blockset too.
    • Ash stacks in layers like snow (example in Supplementaries mod - would also love the addition of soup to un-dye blocks).

If they really want to go extra, then each wood type in the game can produce a unique charred wood that has undertones of the original.

Geysers spawn in when the volcano is near water. Stepping on them causes burning damage to the player but also shoots them up 10 to 15 blocks.

The question is: what would happen too our lava pools if volcanos are added? Would they disappear for more consistent terrain generation? Or is the volcano biome a tiny thing that will replace the lava pools?

I kinda like the latter option.
