Ropes in Minecraft

I propose Minecraft should add ropes that connect boats together! This would allow players to transport more items, villagers, and animals across the ocean easily.

There could be two designs for the ropes:

1. Wooden Ropes: These ropes would be crafted from various wood types like oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, cherry, and pale oak. This way, players would only need wood to create them.

2. Chain-Linked Ropes: Alternatively, we could have a single-textured rope with chains at the ends that act as hooks for connecting boats. This would require players to use chains in the crafting process.

Now I know there technically is already a rope (the lead), updating it to connect boats would be great. However, introducing a rope opens up even more possibilities for gameplay. And Incorporating redstone with ropes would lead to countless new inventions and creative uses.

(Also I’d like to point out that they could also update chains to connect minecarts together)
