Overview: In this dimension, the generation is vertical, which constrains the player to explore mostly vertically
What does it look like? - The terrain is infinite in all three dimensions, but the "surface" in this case is the wide ravines that cut through the solid world. For ease of traversing these ravines, there could be bridge-like arches that connect to the other side of these ravines. Instead of caves in this seemingly underground dimension, large pockets or bubbles of space would allow players to mine for resources. These pockets would have similar curving arches to the ravine-bridges, still keeping it difficult to traverse horizontally without simply mining straight through the terrain. The arches would be semicircles, with steep sides and a flatter top.
Why would you want to go to this dimension? - The bubble-like caves and ravines would provide a new vista to explore, with the addition of new types of stone and new ores/gems to go along with the ravine theme. An elytra or feather-falling could be particularly useful to exploring this dimension.
What makes this unique? - Vertical generation. New stones, possibly including deeper minerals such as gneiss (most metamorphic), schist (the colorful desert dream), and phyllite (usually least deep). Some ores/gems could be garnet (dark red/burgundy), quartzite (purple-pink). Flying, climbing, and even gliding mobs would be the most common. A new effect, like ravine sickness, could prevent players from infinitely falling.
