The Exiled Illager

Exiled Illager

The Exiled Illager is a semi-passive mob with an eyepatch, mustache, and wears an emerald around its neck. It’s neutral to players but attacks Illagers, villagers, and hostile mobs, while avoiding Ravagers and Iron Golems.

Health & Armor: Same health as a Pillager; 12 defense/armor points.
Weapons: May spawn with a Gold Sword or Stone Axe.
Totem of Undying: Upon death, a 50% chance to drop a Totem of Undying or use it to revive.

Trading System:
Offers 4 trading pages with input/output slots:

  • Common: 1 emerald (or more) for 8-16 random common items.

  • Uncommon: 2 emeralds (or more) for 2 random uncommon items.

  • Rare: 4 emeralds (or more) for 1-2 random rare items.

  • Special: 8 emeralds (or more) for 1 special item.

Trades require the exact amount of emeralds or more; any excess emeralds are returned unless the Illager steals them. Each page has its own trade button. During a trade, it may steal extra emeralds—taking all emeralds from the slot and fleeing hostile. If this occurs, it later drops all the stolen excess emeralds along with the emerald pendant (dropped as an emerald).

Spawning:
Only one spawns within a chunk radius around a player. Prefers to spawn near a campsite in Taiga biomes (featuring a Barrel, Campfire, and Bed) but can appear anywhere when players are nearby. Spawns on the surface only.

Loot Drops:
Upon death, it may drop:

  • A Totem of Undying (slight chance)

  • An emerald (The pendant around it's neck, slight chance)

  • All excess stolen emeralds if applicable.

    It would be cool if you could gain it's trust and it would help you out for awhile. I don't think it should have a gold sword though, that doesn't make sense. Maybe a diamond one, because no other mobs spawn with diamond weapons yet. (As far as I know.)

    Maybe Exiled Evoker.

    • He would spawn very rarely, avoid pillagers' outposts but attack patrols.
    • Neutral to villagers and players if not attacked.
    • It would be cool if he'd be able to use potion of invisibility to sneak near/around villages and occasionally enter villages' houses to steal emeralds / magic oriented items from chests.
    • Maybe some mechanic to slightly befriend him so he can help with raids.
    • Obviously a bit different set of abilities compared to normal evoker.
