With the Ghast getting their slight expansion in the next drop, perhaps Blazes could also get a taste of what could be in store.
Within Besalt Deltas, we could stumble across a candle-like object near pillars called a Blaze Pod, which when put in a crafting table with a heavy core and 2 of any form of blackstone could give us a brazier, which could act as a cradle for a new, tiny pet mob: The Cinder. By feeding the pod coal or blaze powder, it will hatch into a Cinder, and when fed in a brazier, it will spout two or three cinders before the pod breaks, treating the brazier as a regular light source until a new pod is inserted.
Cinders have 10 HP and act as a walking light source with similar rules as other pets, giving out a light level of 10 and launches itself as a short-ranged pseudo projectile that lights targeting mobs on fire and dealing 2-3 contact damage. However, every few days its HP may be reduced by 2, enforcing for it to be fed blaze powder or coal. If the owner of the cinder right clicks their Mace on a Cinder, it will sacrifice 2 of its HP and possess the Mace, turning it into a Brimstone mace for 15 seconds, giving the Mace's smash attack a flaming Area of effect before leaping out.
