Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Steam

Can we get Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Steam? It would be great for people who play on Steam Deck and would also be great for the PC player base. Valve is very customer friendly and has one of the best launchers on PC. Xbox and Microsoft have already started pushing games over to Steam like Forza Horizon 5, Sea of Thieves, and even Minecraft Dungeons is on Steam. Please allow the us to play our PC games in one game library on Steam.

  YO Low key sounds like a banger idea i really hope they listen id love a linux/steam desk mcpe port i up vote this and follow keep up the awesome ideas. on the other hand really sucks that they did not port to linux a long time ago... and bedrock launcher is trash its not offishal runs android version and does not work really hope this happens.

  If they did this, they might not even need to release a Linux version of Bedrock as long as they made sure that it ran just fine under Proton. If their reason for not porting to Linux is time and prioritization, then this might be a good option as I'm sure most won't complain if it runs well under Proton. Would I prefer native Linux support? Yes, but as long as it runs and I don't have to use a hack-y workaround like mcpelauncher just to play with my friends and family who play on Bedrock, then that's enough for me.
