Wolf sounds

I love the different wolves but their new sounds are really irritating their whining is driving me nuts I no longer want to tame wolves and be forced to listen to their whining and high pitched barks can we have a option where we can turn off the new wolves sound and have the original wolf sound back please.

    Absolutely.  The new wolf sounds are grating; they're also inappropriate in most contexts.  Wolves (and dogs) communicate with various sounds.  They don't just whine and yelp at random.  Not only is it super annoying, but it breaks immersion.  I'd rather the sounds be reverted to the previous sound set, or remove them entirely.  This update makes me not want to keep wolves as pets anymore, which makes me really sad.  :(

    agree, as someone who has a trauma response to dogs growling, the new sounds are so stressful. would really appreciate a way to turn this off!!

    im so glad im not the only person upset about this, i literally had to stop playing the newest update on Java because of it. It's really distressing because some of the sounds make them sound like they're in pain??  Which is really not great. Microsoft/Mojang please can you have an option for original sounds?

    I finally started playing 1.21 and.... I don't like the new dog sounds at all.. I mean, they are good sounds in and of themselves, but, my dogs are constantly arfing and barking and growling and whatever constantly, all the time..... It's severely annoying! I usually take a couple of dogs with me caving to handle skeletons and now I'm just getting aggravated by all the barking and snuffling noises. It is WAY TOO FREQUENT. I couldn't find a way to minimize the amount of sounds they emit, only a way to turn them off completely, which isn't what I want. I like a calmer ambience, this is well.... stressful!

    I’ve been a minecraft vet since beta testing, and I have to agree with you! I cannot stand the new wolf/dog sounds! I only have three in my base and they constantly sound like they’re whimpering in pain, they have full health though! I think I’m gonna end up taking them to a different chunk and making a house for them. It’s super annoying to take a perfectly fine mob and make it go from a fan favorite to something I’ve seen many many complaints about. Mojang L. Listen to your customers guys!
