I wish for some way of using transparent textures with solid blocks through custom block models, with some tag in the block model where you can allow textures with transparent pixels to be used without filling the transparent pixels, like a simple "force_transparency": true in the block model .json. If a model doesn't have that tag, it behaves like it does in the vanilla game. I would be very grateful if this gets added, because it's something that gets in my way when making resource packs, and by allowing us to remove that limitation ourselves without compromising performance in vanilla Minecraft, it will allow for some amazing ideas.
