Give the Happy Ghast a new name

The current name these things have feels like an internal code name, and makes it feel like it only has one defining characteristic.

    rename them to some lesser-known english word like bastion or warden, since that's what mojang loves doing.

    I have the same problem with the Happy Ghast's name. My suggestion is to rename it to the Blithe. It's as equally strange & old a word as Ghast, and it holds the opposite meani g to the word Ghast.

    Maybe the new name could fit into the Ghast's pun of being (A) Ghast and could be (A) Loft or something like that.

    That other guy's idea of it being called the Blithe sounds good. Might post it as a separate suggestion.

    Independently I thought of Gale considering 

    1. Still begins with a G

    2. Gale can refer to an outburst of laughter which I think gets across the happy attribute

    3. Gale kind of relates to it being a light creature and its ability to fly similar to wind

     

    I also like the other persons suggestion of Blithe tho and think it may match better in definition but I feel people would mispronounce it more often

    I think something like Ghasper (or Gasper) could fit:

    1. The mob often makes breathy, gasp-like sounds.
    2. A "gasper" is a kind of ventilation outlet used in aircraft.
    3. The mob can help players see breath-taking views.
    4. Rhymes with "Casper", like the friendly ghost.
    5. Makes "ghast" sound like a later, degraded version of the name (Ghasper -> Ghasp -> Ghast)

    Ghasper just sounds like a gasping ghast... Even worse. I like the idea of something like 'Blithe'.

    I gotta say, I agree with this. Renaming it the Blithe is a good suggestion, but Gale sounds super good too! I just think there's SOME better name than "Happy Ghast" out there...

    The "happy ghast" just sounds pathetic and immature even for minecraft.
