Hot Wired on Redstone

So, my idea is for wires. Wires would be made using 3 redstone in a line and it would make red wire. Wire is dyeable and each wire color doesn't interact with other colors (with some exceptions), but all can interact with redstone dust. Wires, unlike redstone, also can't power/be powered by blocks they are on/around, only the blocks they are directly connected to, other wire based components, and direct redstone. Wire could go vertical/upside-down, and 4 wires of different colors can share the same space. With it, there could be the addition of like wire splitters, connecters, cross wiring, etc. Just would be amazing for redstone builds.
