if the administrator does not deactivate it, it is not anyone's fault, you play a server and follow the rules of the administrators and if they want the locator bar activated you will have to go to another server if you do not like it.

it is very easy to get a pumpkin and then you can get the head of a mob like that of a wither so you do not disturb the vision, then if you go to fight you put a helmet is something simple, there will be servers that leave the bar and others who do not, end

Seems the two comments missed the point. First off, I don't want to hide away my skin at all times just to keep from being targeted by griefers or stalkers (a friend group of mine in a server is currently dealing with that sort of situation right now). I shouldn't have to put myself at risk just because I don't want an obnoxious pumpkin overlay (do not mention resource packs. vanilla features should not REQUIRE resource packs to be considered good) or have to get a mob head drop or make tons of invisibility potions for every second I'm on the server. Second, not every server owner knows what they're doing, and its not as simple as "well go to a different server". If the server I'm playing on currently suddenly updated to the version with the locator bar on release, I know they'd leave it on because they think /home detracts from player interaction somehow. Your suggestion to "change servers" is essentially to drop well over two weeks worth of building and start over from scratch.

having the option to disable the Player Locator bar as a Player without needing to go to such lengths would be the perfect solution.
if a player decides to enable the bar, it still retains its intended use, while not hindering players who want to hide. this way it would be a flat out improvement, without trivializing the hiding/ secret base Gameplay .

I agree, adding this poses a serious privacy risk.
Not to speak of  the fact that there will likely be hacked versions of the game that just print out everyone coordinates.

Please note that the administrator and the server console can adjust the function after it is added to the official version. If you don't want to use it, you can ask the owner of the server to turn off the function, and the developer has noted that there will be options to adjust the function after the official version.

First of all, this function can be turned on or off freely after joining the official version. If the server owner insists on turning on this function, it can't be blamed on the game and the developer. On the contrary, you should communicate with the server owner, ask the server owner to add some plug-ins to protect the players, or ask the server owner to give some compensation rewards.
