Let’s talk about the new Bedrock flat world presets!

We are excited to announce the addition of flat world presets to Bedrock, edging us closer to parity with Java edition. You can now select from some very special presets for your completely flat world:

  • Classic Flat
  • Tunnelers' Dream
  • Water World
  • Overworld
  • Snowy Kingdom
  • Bottomless Pit
  • Desert
  • Redstone Ready


There's still some things to come, like The Void preset, and we want to develop the future of flat worlds together with you, the community! We’d love to hear your thoughts on this, let us know in the comments — what do you think?

    Not just villages, but also structures like temples, ancient cities, strongholds, trial chambers, etc. And being able to drop items one by one, just like on PC.

    We should be able to edit the number of layers, change or add layers, choose blocks, choosing certain biomes for flat worlds and saving a flat world preset.

    Make flat worlds completely customizable and have options for natural spawning caves villages and ore and water and trees everything in a normal world but flat if you wanted add this and the custom layers it would be great because now there's no villages no ore can't do survival.... so..... nothing...
