Visual Option to Revert Spawn Egg Textures

Today, as I write this, new spawn egg textures have been announced to make it easier to see which is which in the creative inventory.

My suggestion is simple; an option effecting what textures are used for spawn eggs. Personally I love the new textures, but alot of people especially people who prefer the old textures will be upset (my sister, for example, who said she will use the older texture packs from now on).

It brings some challenges to do this such as making two textures for every spawn egg. Mojang will neve be able to please everyone, but this feature could still help reduce the number of people that may be frustrated over these new textures.

    It would be nice in general to have the option to apply and make custom colormaps and overlays for items using json files

    No not unless you use the Beta Texture Pack or use a previous version. Thats why I suggested this so people dont need to use the older textures to see the classic spawn eggs. Some people are not going to like the new spawn eggs even if they like the textures of everything else.

    YES. The spawn egg "update" should've never happened in the first place.
