Leaf litter variants - Not Biome dependant

Now there have been changes to the leaf litter colouration depending on the biome, it would be nice if there was a feature for silk touch shears and hoes to collect them as their current state, then be placeable in a different biome without changing state. Example Spruce leaf litter being placed alongside Dark Oak leaf litter in a jungle biome. This would increase variety and creativity in building, especially wildlife terraforming.
