we all know that currently in February 2025, there are only 2 armors with secondary effects:
The netherite armor: which in addition to avoid burning in the lava provides protection against thrust.
The turtle helmet: This helmet provides aquatic breathing, although few know it exists and a normal helmet with breathing is already better.
Now are my proposals to add more variety to the gameplay and replayability, making these variations make people create different types of builds and not just go to get the netherite tier and stay there:
The head of the mobs: These heads are currently useless, they should make that when you put on the head of a type of mob, it becomes neutral.
Copper armor: it will grant the same resistance as the iron set, but its stats will decay more as it rusts and it will have much less durability.
Chainmail armor: Now it will be manufacturable and will grant extra protection against sword damage.
Lapis lazuli armor: Increases experience gained by 1.25
Armor armor: extra protection against projectiles (plus having the full set scares spiders)
Prismarine armor: increases swimming speed and extra protection against tridents
Tortoise armor: extra protection against sledgehammer and each piece increases breathing duration
Amethyst armor: extra protection against axes
pd: to make these armors you will need some extra material like diamond or iron
it is also a way to avoid power creep.
