new items:
Merger: Crafted with 4 obi, 2 dragons breath (similar to smithing table crafting recipe) with this item, you can fuse a dragon egg with another item to make specific types of dragon eggs
normal dragon egg: obtained normally, except the dragon egg shows up after every kill on the ender dragon (any type of dragon) you may also craft it with a nether star, 4 end crystals, dragon head and 3 obsidian
fire dragon egg: merge with blaze rod
ice dragon egg: merge with blue ice
wind dragon egg: merge with a wind charge
shadow dragon egg: merge with dragon's breath
New mechanics:
The dragon eggs can be placed in the end on the bedrock pillar to be hatched and you can battle a new type of dragon. (you can only hatch and fight one dragon at a time)
Each type of dragon has their own types of shards upon death, scattered along with the exp that is dropped (2-3 shards)
Each shard can also be used in a smithing table similar to armor, you can now design your tools and weapons with the same armortrims, but you can only use shards to apply them
Flame shard: used to craft fire equipment, it creates a forcefield of fire protecting the player from projectiles, activated until you are shot, then there is a minute cooldown, water deactivates it
Ice shard: used to make ice equipment, it shoots out 1 8x3 ice platform
wind shard: used to make wind equipment, it allows the player to glide (no cooldown)
Shadow shard: used to make shadow equipment, it makes the player invisible while crouching (no cooldown)
