Dart Frogs and Poisonous Slime

I have an idea to add a new frog mob to the jungle. It could be called the dart frog based off real life and be the same model as the normal frog or maybe smaller, with spots and various different colours. In the real world dart frogs are only poisonous to whatever eats it so I think if a player attacks the mob they should be poisoned. As for its use, instead of interacting with magma cubes, it could interact with slimes. When a dart frog eats a small slime, it drops poisonous slime which has two uses. Its first use is that it can be placed on the ground as a sort of carpet block and anything that steps on it would be poisoned temporarily. The second use is that it can temporarily be combined with armour and shields which makes the armour or shield give off a poison effect when hit, but the slime will eventually wear out and the items would return to normal. Dart frogs would be uncommon and poison slime would only have a 25% chance of dropping.

    Another idea would be using a bottle on a dart frog to get a poison potion, similar to how natives would poison their arrows irl. However, having an easily-accessible source of poison could be game-breaking, so this might need balancing (such as poisoning the player every time a dart frog is "milked").
