Imagine this, you have conquered all the skies, forged the most powerful armor and tools and built to the highest of skies but you wonder what else is there to do? This is where my idea comes, The Dream dimension. This idea is an example that could patch many problems with progression, link them to resource gathering and make the game more fun! To start, you can enter with a Dreamheart made from diamonds and amethyst, which powered starts a dream campaign. Every player who sleeps in the same area of a dream can join the same one.
To get into detail on the actual mode itself, on enter and exit, you lose all your items and gain them on exit and carry through the treasure you gain. You spawn in the middle of an environment in the middle of no-where and parts of land generate as you go along. The area could use a modified trial spawner called a dream spewer that spawns completely random hostile mobs. Once you get to the end, a challenge of an existing boss would spawn but with buffed stats (forgot to mention you get gear along the way that can be anything).
Loot:
Mending: Would be placed here instead
Prospect: Use emeralds in an anvil with the tool to lower the enchant cost
Fury: Deal more damage at lower health (chestplate)
Overclock: On hit instantly reload your crossbow and gain a stacking damage boost (crossbow)
Slicing Winds: Above 7 hearts shoot a projectile that does the same damage (sword)
Stability: Gain a one shot protection (leggings)
