The End is a barren wasteland with dull colors and no animals. It is obviously the end of everything good. On the other hand, what was the Beginning?
Imagine this: You slowly step up the stairs to the newly made Beginning Portal and stick your head up into it. You are launched up through in and out of a well. Looking around, you see a magical, lush, colorful world. It's filled with plains of glowing flowers, giant mushrooms, pink and yellow trees, dinosaurs, and more. Searching for something familiar, you find a rabbit. You begin to follow it and it doesn't mind. A giant sheep comes over and steps on it, killing the bunny immediately. Then, the sheep baas loudly and a mountain rises beneath it. An entire mountain.
To contrast the End, the Beginning would have creation magic, animals with ridiculous powers and would be far more dangerous to the ignorant adventurer. The boss mob would be a random woodland creature that seems to be harmless until it shouts and causes the world to come alive.
