Leaf litter looks amazing for building. However, here are some ways we can expand on the feature to make it perfect.
First, I would say it would be great if you could get leaf litter another way other than smelting. It just does not seem realistic. Maybe leaf litter should be a thing that you get from composters and using leaves in them or something.
Next, I was thinking leaf litter should be used with dirt and bonemeal to make podzol. This would be a way of making podzol a generally more accessible block.
Next, leaf litter is literally just fallen leaves. Being such, it should not be treated like a plant that grows, and instead should be peaceable on non organic blocks. This is because, where there is a tree, leaves will fall and land anywhere really, whether it be on water, on the streets, on top of a restaurant umbrella shade, inside gutters, etc., leaves can fall literally anywhere.
Finally, leaf litter should spawn less frequently, and under the oak trees and Burch trees of the normal forest biome. It should not be in clearings, because that's not where the tree is. It should also spawn sparsely in birch biomes and dark oak biomes.
I personally think mojang cooked with he leaf litter. It looks so good! I think it would look way better with these changes. Thank you for reading! :)
