This is post 4 in a feedback series doubling down on nature and making its more rewarding to explore. Here is the 3rd post. https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/community/posts/33404829655949-grainy-grass-adding-extrinsic-value-to-daily-Minecraft-nature-pt-3
The idea behind a I'd is to add more Redstone and industrial function to mincraft. Thus acid is dangerous and will encourage players further to not dig straight down, as acid cannot be taken off a player until they ash themselves in lava to burn it off. Acid will do extreme damage to armor, and the same amount of damage as fire directly to the the player. Acid will slowly devolve any block in its path. It will not dissolve basalt, bedrock, obsidian, reinforced deepslate, spawners, or admin blocks. Burned acid will come in clumps called acid glass, which can be used to make blocks, panes, and help fire proof flammable objects (to represent how fire evaporates the liquid and will not melt the solid so it keeps its solidity). Finally acid spawns in pools made of basalt deep underground. The basalt is positioned around the acid so that it doesn't burn a whole all the way to bedrock.
I think this cute natural feature will add some value and danger to everyday exploration in cave nature, and will help you alot in making fireproof builds, and better Redstone.
