Resin as breadcrumbs

Minecraft has long needed a way to mark your path in caves so as to help you leave directions pointing your way out.  The way resin can be placed on walls makes it a perfect fit.  The only change needed is that the resin clumps need to be directional or shaped like an arrow so you can point the direction to go.  Either the model for the resin needs to change so it is more arrow shaped, or the resin should be able to be crafted into a new pathfinder that is arrow shaped.  It should be able to be rotated in 8 directions like items in an item frame so it can point in a direction.
