Enchantment Orbs instead of Enchanted Books

Instead of Enchanted Books, there should be Enchantment Orbs that function in the same way. Currently you buy Enchanted Books from villagers and then combine them with an item so that it gets the same enchantment. It doesn’t make sense. Does the book contain information on how to enchant something and you just forget it afterward? Does the book combine itself with the item? There is no explanation. If we had Enchantment Orbs they could function in the same way as the Enchanted Books but make a bit more sense because you could think of it as the Enchantment orb storing and transporting the Enchantments. Enchantment Orbs would be crafted with Lapis Lazuli and glass. Gameplay would be nearly exactly the same. You would find Enchantment Orbs in structures, trade for them or even make them yourself
