have player placed pale-hanging-vines grow longer w/o bonemeal

I really love hanging vines. They’re very beautiful, but when I increased my tick speed, I saw they did not grow. I think it would be really cool for them to grow and maybe reach max a few blocks before touching the ground, & could hit the ground using bonemeal. it’s cool to just use the bonemeal but a little time-consuming. Thank you!!!!
